is a nanny referral service serving the Jackson Metro. Our goal is to find and secure a quality babysitter or nanny for your family or business' needs. We search for, screen, and provide detailed information about a sitter and allow you to decide if you'd like to interview and hire the babysitter/nanny. We are working alongside you every step of the way to help meet your family's needs.

Sidekicks does not employ the Nanny, Family, or Business. Each Nanny is an Independent Contractor until she is hired by a Family or Business.

Kayla (Combest) Gardner, Owner

Sidekicks Referral Agency, LLC, was launched in January 2016 in Jackson, MS by Kayla (Combest) Gardner. Kayla started her childcare career when she was in high school working for family friends. When Kayla graduated high school in Vancleave, MS and moved to Clinton, MS to attend Mississippi College, she decided to become a Nanny full-time. Kayla worked with one family through four years of college while she attended MC. She fell in love with childcare! Once she graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish, she moved to Barcelona, Spain for a year as an Au-Pair. Upon returning to the States, Kayla worked various positions trying to find the perfect position for her. After a year of not working in the childcare industry, she knew exactly where she wanted and needed to be. She decided she officially wanted to do something that makes her happy AND makes a difference. In 2013 she moved to Boston, MA for a year and a half as a full-time Nanny. By June 2013, Kayla declared Childcare as her profession. Since moving back to Mississippi, where she is originally from, Kayla decided to gear more toward aiding families as a whole versus serving parts of the family unit. Kayla is currently working as a Nanny in the Jackson metro and is looking forward to what owning Sidekicks Referral Agency has in store!
